Dr. Bakshi joined Summerwood Pediatrics in September, 2020. She is a Board certified pediatrician with 24 years of experience in general pediatrics. She is on staff at Upstate Medical Center and Crouse Hospital. She received her medicine degree from Khyber Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan and completed Pediatric residency from NY Cornell-Methodist Hospital Program in Brooklyn NY, where she was also a chief resident. She worked with Bergen West Pediatrics in Wyckoff NJ for 15 years and then moved with her family to Upstate NY. She has worked in the North Country area for the last 9 years, and has regularly precepted PA students from Clarkson University, Le Moyne College and SUNY Upstate during this period. She wrote the 'Bakshi Blog' for the Cazenovia Republican Newspaper while practicing at Community Memorial Hospital Family Health Center.
She also completed Peds and Adolescent Psychiatry mini fellowship through CAPPC program in 2017-2018. She has been member of American Academy Of Pediatrics since 1996.
She considers being a pediatrician as a privilege and working with families and parents as a source of satisfaction, vitality, dedication, and motivation to keep working and learning. She believes prevention is the bedrock of pediatric care and that setting a foundation of wellness and disease prevention is key. She has an interest in treating a wide spectrum of pediatric diseases.
Besides work she has interest in reading, hiking and astronomy, and is a mom of four kids.
A native of Syracuse, NY, Dr. Boulware joins Summerwood Pediatrics after completing her pediatric residency and a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Rochester where her research was focused on Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology. She is a graduate of Fordham University and received her medical degree and Master’s Degree of Public Health from New York Medical College. Dr. Boulware is excited to share her experience and commitment to care with the patients of Summerwood Pediatrics.
In her spare time, Dr. Boulware loves spending time with her daughter and husband. She also enjoys reading, swimming, and exploring new places.
Grace is a Certified Physician Assistant. She received her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and received her Bachelor of Science with Magna Cum Laude at Le Moyne College. Grace was a patient at Summerwood Pediatrics when she was a child. She also did her pediatric rotation as a student at Summerwood Pediatrics. Grace grew up in the Syracuse area and is honored to be serving her community.
Rebecca came to Summerwood Pediatrics after working in the Rochester area for over 20 years. She has worked in a variety of settings caring for families and children. She was part of establishing the first Rochester General School-based Health Center in one of the Rochester City’s elementary schools. She has received Community Service Awards and an Award for Excellence in Care in Behavioral Health. She has taught in both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs in colleges in the Rochester area. Rebecca was part of the patient education group in the High-Risk Obstetric unit at Strong Memorial Hospital that developed the first Breastfeeding, Infant Care and Sibling classes.
Rebecca is a Nationally Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her BSN from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio. Her graduate degree was from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Rebecca has a post graduate degree in Women’s Health Care from the University of Rochester. She has been certified as a Lactation Consultant in the past.
She is an active member of NAPNAP (National Association for Pediatric Nurse Practitioners) serving as president of the Upstate Chapter in the past. She places a high value on education as one of the keys to promoting health.
Hobbies include hiking, kayaking, tennis and other racket sports.
Darcie is a Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with eight years of pediatric experience. She graduated Cum Laude from Nazareth College for her baccalaureate studies and graduated with honors from the University of Rochester for her Master’s Program. She was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society, as well as being chosen as the recipient of the New York State Nurse Practitioner Student of the Year Award in 2017.
Darcie specializes in LGBTQ health, newborn medicine and post-NICU care, and behavioral and mental health. Darcie works in a NICU setting on the weekends, and in her spare time, enjoys golfing, snowboarding, and embarrassing her two sons on a regular basis.
